Before follows an abridged timeline of the major events for MyFootballClub.

26 April 2007 - MyFootballClub website launched
1 May - BBC picks up on the story
30 May - DLA Piper are revealed as the company that will be carrying out due diligence
1 August - 50,000 members reached, sign-ups begin. £100k is collected in the first 6 hours
14 August - website shop opens
5 September - Halifax Town are in the high court with financial difficulties; their chairman mentions MyFC as a possible buyer of the club
11 September - it's confirmed that 6 clubs have now approached MyFC (the final number was 9)
17 October - the Phase 3 website is launched; articles and personal member pages are among the new features
30 October - confirmed that due diligence has begun with one club
13 November - Ebbsfleet United are confirmed as the target club. The press go haywire! Also, the MyFC website crashes due to heavy internet traffic
17 November - the first Ebbsfleet game since the takeover announcement is a 0-0 draw at Oxford
21 November - the Fleet Trust votes to endorse the MyFC takeover
23 November - first videos appear on website
26 November - members take 6 days to raise £450 for a set of strips for an under-8s football side
4 December - an appeal for help in raising £1300 for new Ebbsfleet training equipment takes just 6 hours to reach its target
17 December - a fan's forum is held for existing Ebbsfleet fans; reaction to the takeover is generally positive

January 2008 - MyFC podcasts are launched
16 January - due diligence is completed; votes open to confirm the Ebbsfleet takeover and also to allow Liam Daish to continue with his transfer plans for January
23 January - voting closes; both ballots show 95% in favour from members who have voted
24 January - MyFC website is 'relaunched' with added functionality including squad selector and chatroom
12 February - Members vote to accept Nike as Ebbsfleet's kit supplier for the following season
27 February - MyFC Mall launches, giving members the chance to donate funds via internet purchases
14 March - Jessica, Arithon, DA11, Brian A, ChrisP, Chelseaspencer and Asbodan are elected as the seven members of the first MyFC board.
15 March - Ebbsfleet confirm their place at Wembley in the FA Trophy final by defeating Aldershot 4-2 in a two-legged semi-final.
26 April - end of league season. Ebbsfleet finish in 11th place in the Blue Square Premier with a total of 69 points.
28 April - release of 'Beat The Weather', a dance track featuring vocals from Ebbsfleet groundsman Peter Norton. It fails to make the charts.
10 May - Ebbsfleet United beat Torquay 1-0 at Wembley to win the FA Trophy. Estimates suggest that approximately 25,000 Ebbsfleet fans were in attendance, of whom 5,000 were MyFootballClub members.
9 June - David Davis (aka Gadgetman) is announced as the new CEO of Ebbsfleet United. Jonathan Moules is appointed as the new club chairman. Also, it is announced that members have voted to allow Liam Daish a wage budget of £10,000 per week - the highest of all options on offer.
21 June - the Bakert pledge succeeds in attracting 1000 members who will contribute £20 each to the wage budget for the coming season. This money will be in addition to the budget already agreed on.
27 June - Unveiling of new home strip for 2008/09. Members had voted on a selection of designs some time previously.
7 July - Launch of Phase 4.0 website; forums are redesigned, and additional functionality added to enhance communication between members.
28 August - Members vote to approve the transfer of John Akinde to a 'League Club' (subsequently revealed to be Bristol City); this is the first time that members have become involved in transfer activity.
