League Two

League Two is the 4th tier in the English football league pyramid. It is the lowest division in the Football League.

24 teams play in the league. The team that finishes top of the league at the end of the season is league champion and is promoted to League One along with the teams that finish 2nd and 3rd. 4th to 7th position clubs play in a play off, with 4th playing 7th and 5th playing 6th in a two legged semi final round. The winner of each semi final goes onto a final played at Wembley Stadium, with the winner of that game promoted to League One.

The teams which finish in the bottom two positions in the league are relegated to the Conference National.
